Laser work that makes sense for students and staff
Light Lane replaces outdated workflows with a modern, visual experience. Start by unlocking more from your existing lasers with better software, or enquire about a complete, turn-key Light Lane unit for your school.
- Modern software designed for shared learning environments
- Pre-built hardware units for a hassle-free classroom setup
- Professional installation, training, and support
Start with better software
The core of the Light Lane experience is software that students actually enjoy using. It removes the friction of old, clunky interfaces, allowing students to see exactly what they are about to engrave before they press start.
For schools with existing machines, bringing Light Lane into the workflow is the fastest way to improve teaching outcomes and get more from the lasers you already have. It’s a professional-grade tool built for clarity, repeatability, and safety in a busy classroom.

Two ways to work with Light Lane
We provide two distinct paths depending on whether you are looking for software-only or a complete hardware solution.
- Step 1
1. Unlock more from your existing lasers
Run Light Lane on the computers that drive your school's current machines. This is the simplest way to modernise your workflow, improve student results, and get more capability from the lasers you already have.
Why it matters: Modernise your classroom without replacing hardware.
- Step 2
2. The Light Lane Unit
A pre-built, high-performance laser unit delivered and installed by professionals. This is a turn-key solution tailored to your school’s needs, including full setup, ventilation planning, and on-site training.

Full classroom-ready setups, not just software
Most schools come to Light Lane for the software, and that is the right fit for any classroom that already has a laser running. For schools without a laser yet, or replacing an ageing machine, we also scope and supply full classroom-ready setups. That includes the right machine sized for the room and the curriculum (CO2 is the usual answer for design and tech rooms, with fiber, IR, UV, or handheld considered where the programme calls for it), software setup, a materials database tuned for school-friendly substrates like ply, MDF, and acrylic, on-site install and teacher training, and ongoing technician support options scoped to the school. We already work with New Zealand schools and are in active conversations with more across the country.
