Privacy Policy

Light Lane Privacy Policy

Light Lane Limited uses personal information only where it is needed to run the website, process enquiries, deliver support, operate product access, maintain security, and improve the service. This page explains the current position for the website, the customer portal, the desktop software, and related support workflows.

Scope and controller

Effective date: 29 March 2026.

Light Lane Limited is the controller for the personal information covered by this Privacy Policy unless we clearly state otherwise for a specific service, agreement, or customer relationship. This policy applies to the Light Lane marketing website, documentation, downloads, contact workflows, and related public web properties, and it also explains the categories of information that may be processed when you use the Light Lane portal, desktop application, licensing flows, and support services.

If a separate agreement, order form, or enterprise data-processing arrangement applies to your account, that document will control to the extent of any direct conflict.

What we collect and why

Information you provide directly

  • Contact and enquiry details such as your name, email address, company, phone number, and message when you submit a form or contact us.
  • Account, subscription, licensing, device, or support details you provide when using the Light Lane portal, desktop application, or related support channels.
  • Business or workflow details you choose to share with us when requesting a demo, onboarding help, or product support.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical request information such as IP-derived network data, browser headers, user agent details, request timing, and security or abuse-prevention signals.
  • Product, licensing, or device information needed to deliver account access, activation, troubleshooting, service stability, and fraud prevention.
  • Operational records showing when messages were sent, whether contact emails were delivered, and how submitted forms were resolved.

How we use personal information

We use personal information to operate the website and product services, respond to enquiries, provide support, deliver email communications you requested, maintain account and licensing workflows, secure our systems, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability, usability, and commercial operations.

Legal bases

Depending on the context, we rely on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is required under applicable law.

Sharing, retention, transfers, and rights

Service providers and disclosures

We may share information with carefully selected service providers where that is necessary to run Light Lane. Based on the current implementation, that includes infrastructure and hosting providers, Strapi and PostgreSQL based content systems, Cloudflare services used for site delivery and media access, and Resend for contact-form email delivery. We may also share information with advisers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies, or transaction counterparties where disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect the company, our customers, or the public. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Light Lane operates online infrastructure that may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we use appropriate contractual, organisational, and technical safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Retention and security

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including support history, operational records, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and business record keeping. We use layered security controls appropriate to the nature of the data, but no service can honestly promise perfect security.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port certain personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. To make a privacy request, contact [email protected] from the email address associated with the request if possible.

Children

Light Lane is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
